"I had become bored of training the same way week in week out, and not improving my fitness. At this point someone suggested personal training, and I haven’t looked back since. I began training with Gwion over a year ago and have found it a fantastic way of training to my personal goals and standards.

Before starting on my personal goal of improving by fitness and strength for skiing Gwion worked towards improving my posture and strengthening my shoulder which I had problems with since I dislocated it years before. Over a period of a few weeks i found a fast improvement in my core strength and my posture was vastly improved, this improvement made training a much more comfortable experience. Once my posture and imbalances were corrected Gwion designed me a program aimed at developing strength and power in my legs with the end goal of improving my skiing. I found the programs fantastic, they kept me focused and challenged. Over the weeks I found myself improving and I was able to see the improvements through measuring sessions and a series of tests which reflected my goals. The main test was a week skiing out in the Alps, I found skiing all day a breeze, and I found I could power through my turns across the snowy slopes with ease. Once I had returned from the skiing I needed a new goal, between myself and Gwion we came up with idea of a Triathlon. At the beginning I found the programs hard but with a lot of encouragement and support from Gwion I have continued to improve. I still find the specifically designed programs challenging allowing me to push myself and discover my abilities. Over the three disciplines I have experienced problems and flaws with technique strength and stamina; and throughout Gwion have managed to incorporate all these problems into my program allowing me to continue improving and get closer to achieving my goal of competing in a triathlon.

I find Gwion understands what I want from my training and what I need to keep myself on track to improve and develop my overall fitness and achieve my goals. I believe elite fitness has been a fantastic influence on my training and a very enjoyable experience which I still reap benefits from week in week out."

"Having joined Edge Personal Training for weight loss and personal health I have seen a tremendous improvement in my overall fitness and health - loosing over one stone in six months and improving fitness, strength and flexibility. The diet analysis really shocked me at what I actually ate and I was surprised to learn what was ‘good’ and ‘bad’. There was a lot more to it than I thought!
